VPN Service

What is VPN?

VPN is short for Virtual Private Network. With VPN, users are provided with secure access to their institutions and corporate resources over Internet-enabled networks. The communication on the VPN connection established between the user and the institution is encrypted, preventing third parties from listening to the communication. At the same time, the integrity of the communication content (not changing the communication content) is ensured.

What Can Be Done With VPN Service?

When users connect to the VPN system, they receive a virtual IP address from within the organization. In this way, they can benefit from services such as licensing services that are prohibited outside the institution and (or) access their internal computers at file sharing or remote desktop levels.

What Are VPN Service Limits?

The VPN service serves 1000 users simultaneously, and users can make a maximum of 1 simultaneous connection to the VPN service. During the time they are connected to the service, the internet traffic of the users passes through Kayseri University. For this reason, "Kayseri University Information Resources Usage Policy" is valid during the connection.
